About Granddaddy Purple Feminized
Granddaddy Purple is the strain that defined purple cannabis. Created by Ken Estes in the early 2000s from Big Bud and Purple Urkle, it pairs heavy, chunky flower structure with deep grape-and-berry aromatics and striking violet coloration.
The definitive purple indica
GDP inherits Big Bud's flower mass and Purple Urkle's color and grape terpenes. Into cool late-flower nights it can turn dramatically purple, which — along with its sweet-berry nose — is why it remains one of the most recognizable indicas two decades on.
Growing Granddaddy Purple
This feminized photoperiod stays relatively short and bushy, a good fit for indoor tents and controlled spaces. The dense, heavy flowers reward support and good airflow. Cool nights late in bloom help bring out the color. It is an intermediate grow.
