Royal Harvest IQ

Cannabis Harvest Outcome Intelligence

Log your final yield, aroma, quality, and grow difficulty. Royal Grow Copilot learns what worked, what failed, and which strains fit you next.

The closing tool of the Royal Grow operating system. Reads your Climate Coach, Feed Coach, and Plant Doctor history to explain your harvest.

How Royal Harvest IQ Works

When you finish a grow, you log the outcome: dry weight, plant count, bud density, aroma strength, smoothness, smoke profile, and whether you'd grow it again. Harvest IQ takes that and pulls in the entire grow journal β€” every VPD reading, every feeding log, every Plant Doctor diagnosis from the past 60-100 days β€” and reasons about why the outcome came out the way it did.

You get a 100-point Harvest IQ Score with a letter grade and a band label (Excellent Run, Solid Grow, Learning Run). Yield Intelligence converts your raw weight into grams per plant, grams per watt, and grams per square foot, then compares against the strain's expected range and your past harvest average. What Worked and What Hurt sections cite specific readings from your journal. Next Grow Recommendations bridge the outcome into seed recommendations β€” pick the strain that fits your grow style next.

The Six Scoring Factors

FactorWeightWhat it measures
Yield25 ptsGrams per plant vs strain expected + your past average
Bud Quality20 ptsDensity + bag appeal + resin level avg (1-5 each)
Aroma + Flavor15 ptsAroma strength + flavor + smoothness avg
Grow Execution15 ptsFinishing a hard grow scores higher than coasting through easy
Problem Recovery15 ptsDiagnoses logged Γ— whether they cleared by harvest
Would Grow Again10 ptsStrongest signal for your future strain recommendations

Yield Intelligence Benchmarks

Grams per watt is the universal indoor benchmark. Most growers run 0.6-0.8 g/W. Pro indoor: 1.0+ g/W. Per square foot, 30-50 g/sq ft is typical indoor; 50+ is excellent space utilization. Wet-to-dry conversion lands in the 22-28% range for properly cured flower.

Royal Harvest IQ FAQ

What is Royal Harvest IQ?
Royal Harvest IQ is the closing tool of the Royal Grow operating system. You log final yield, bud quality, aroma, smoothness, and difficulty after a grow finishes. The system computes a 100-point Harvest IQ Score, analyzes yield against the strain's expected range and your past grow average, generates what-worked / what-hurt reasoning from your VPD + feed history, and recommends your next best strain.
How is the Harvest IQ Score calculated?
Yield performance 25 points, bud quality (density + bag appeal + resin) 20 points, aroma + flavor + smoothness 15 points, grow execution (difficulty) 15 points, problem recovery 15 points, would-grow-again 10 points. Each factor is scored 0-1 and weighted, then summed. A score of 87 puts you in the Strong Run band; 90+ is Excellent Run.
What does yield intelligence include?
Grams per plant, grams per watt (if you logged your light wattage), grams per square foot (if you logged your area), wet-to-dry conversion percentage, comparison to the strain's expected per-plant range, and comparison to your past grow average. Each metric comes with a calibration note.
What does "What worked / What hurt" do?
These read your grow journal context β€” VPD stability, EC trend smoothness, pH drift, diagnoses count, runoff EC drift β€” and call out the specific environmental + feeding factors that helped or hurt this grow. Direct lines from journal data to outcome.
How does Harvest IQ improve my next strain recommendation?
After you submit a harvest, your outcome (yield + would-grow-again) feeds back into your Royal Strain Finder profile. If you rated 7+, the strain enters your liked list; if you rated ≀4 or said you wouldn't grow again, it enters the disliked list. Future "People Like You" cohorts and recommendation panels weight your matches accordingly.
What is Harvest Replay?
A shareable summary page β€” Spotify Wrapped for your harvest. Strain, total grow time, final yield, Harvest IQ Score, smoke profile, biggest win. If you tick "public share", it lives at royalkingseeds.us/harvest/[code] for anyone you send the link to.
Can I edit a harvest after submitting?
You can submit a new Harvest IQ report from the same journal and the latest version becomes the canonical entry on your timeline. Previous reports remain in the journal history for reference.
What changes after I submit a harvest?
Three things: (1) your grow journal moves to "complete" stage with the outcome captured, (2) your strain finder profile updates with the like/dislike signal, (3) your grower archetype may shift β€” completing a hard grow with a high score can move you from New Grower to Data-Driven Tracker.
How does Harvest IQ learn my style?
Every completed harvest writes structured outcome data to your profile: aroma + flavor preferences (tags become weight in future recommendations), climate-tolerance signals (your VPD averages + final score), feeding-style signature (EC levels + yield correlation), difficulty comfort, mold-pressure exposure, and like/dislike marks per strain. After three completed grows the system has enough data to predict which strains you'll succeed with.
Why does climate affect aroma?
Terpenes are temperature-sensitive volatile compounds. High canopy temps above 82Β°F evaporate lighter terpenes (limonene, myrcene) faster than they can be replaced, dulling aroma. Tight late-flower VPD (lower humidity, slightly cooler nights) preserves more terpene structure and intensifies finished aroma. Your Harvest IQ correlates your VPD stability score with your aroma rating β€” patterns emerge quickly.
How does Royal Grow Copilot explain my yield?
After Harvest IQ runs, the Copilot has access to your full timeline: VPD readings, feedings, diagnoses, plus the final harvest data. Ask "why was yield lower than expected?" and the Copilot scans for VPD spikes, EC ramps, or pH drift that correlate with the yield gap. It cites specific readings from your journal in the answer β€” not generic explanations.
How many grows before recommendations improve noticeably?
Strain Finder starts personalizing after the first completed Harvest IQ. The real lift hits at 3 completed grows β€” that's when archetype classifier locks in, climate fingerprint stabilizes, and the strain-compatibility scoring has enough signal to filter out poor matches. By 5 harvests, "People Like You" cohorts get sharp.
Can Harvest IQ detect weak genetics?
Indirectly. If you log a strain with stable VPD, clean feed history, no major diagnoses β€” and still hit Below Average yield or Mixed Fit on the compatibility score β€” that's a strong signal the genetics underperformed for your setup. The Copilot will weight similar parent lineages down in your future recommendations.
